This is Sparta!

Or, maybe it isn’t. Nonetheless, it could be, in that there will be a mass amount of changes happening over the next few weeks. I THINK I am getting a layout change, and there will be a new feature or two that I shall be implementing.

I’m not entirely sure how long this change will last, or what all it will entail, but I have some ideas and, now that I have dropped a course, I have some time to actually spend on this site.

In other news, I will NOT be going to Emerald City comiccon. Sad, I know, but it just doesn’t work out for scheduling this year. Also, in all reality, there was only 1 or 2 panels that I wanted to go to, the rest seemed sort of meh.

I’m looking into the scheduling for this year’s PAX however, as well as the Vancouver Sci-Fi and Fantasy con, in October.

I also bought a fancy new beautiful laptop. Uber sexy. And light. it also means that I will have some stellar graphics for Warcraft, when I get my account reactivated. I want to do that this weekend, but I still need to load wow on the new comp. The only downside of my new baby is that it has no optical drive, so I will have to use my 1 free downloadable copy. Hopefully, it won’t take too long.

So, expect some fun changes. I’m excited about them!

Holidays & stuff

Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope that your holiday-whichever you choose to celebrate- was fun and happy.

I myself went with my almost husband to go see Avatar 3D. There was WAY more people there then I had expected! Our show sold out, as did the one before and after.

If you plan on seeing this movie, I highly suggest the 3d version. I’ve seen it both ways (we downloaded it and watched it on the laptop) and big screen and 3d was the way to go. The movie was fantastic small, but seeing it big was mind blowing. What makes this movie stand out is how seamlessly the 3d is integrated into the movie. Its so well done that, by the end of the movie, the most amazing thing is how much you DIDN’T notice the 3d. You just fell into the world, without even noticing.

I finished my book (!!), or at least the first draft. For some reason I thought it was a great idea to write it out on paper, so now I have to type it out and begin edits. I already know that its too short, so I have some scenes plotted out in my head that will add to both the flow and the plot. I’m excited to get them in. I conned my almost husband into typing it out for me because 1. I’m a slow typer and 2. he wants to get better at typing on his laptop. I just need him to do it. Preferably before school starts, in a week or so.

Randomness and Oddities

I have been busy of late. Doing what? Writing, as it just so happens. I have been working on several books over the past few years, and, naturally, nothing has become of them because I can’t seem to finish them.

However!

I started a new one a few weeks ago, and, its actually coming along quite nicely. I even know how it ends.

I also managed to scrape up some time to enter my first writing contest! Its over at The Clarity of Night, and the contest I entered is titled In Vino Veritas. Everyone should go check out the short pieces by all the authors, and share your thoughts.

Besides writing, Xbox is still my good friend. I am totally stoked about Project Natal. You should be too. Its about damn time, too.

I’ve been neglecting my poor druid, but, I think I shall remedy that one tonight and log in a few solid hours.

Totally looked forward to The Last Airbender, which is the shorter (kinda)  title for the show Avatar:The last airbender. With M. Night Shyamalan directing it, its sure to be mind blowingly fantastic.

2.7 Patch day!

I don’t know about any of the other WoW players out there, but I was totally stoked for the new patch, which FINALLY came live yesterday (April 14th).

The whole duel spec thing? God yes. Levelling a healing druid takes its toll on a girl, and sometimes, in the deep dark nights of healing Karazhan, I just wanted to be a giant chicken.

I haven’t had a chance to try the new instance (Uldar) out yet, but, I haven’t done a lot of the Lich King instances. I am stoked for it though.

Apparently, I, as a druid, am back up to epic, supreme healing, but, I think this patch might have brought priests back to the limelight.

Or so the patch notes elude.
